LDDK  implements a development cooperation project of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia, “Support of Employers’ Organizations for the Recovery and Growth of Ukraine”

From August until end-November 2022, the LDDK in cooperation with the Federation of Employers of Ukraine (FEU) is implementing a development cooperation project of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia, “Support of Employers’ Organizations for the Recovery and Growth of Ukraine” in order to support restoration of the Ukrainian State and business development there.

From August 2022 until the end of November, the LDDK will implement a development cooperation project of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia, “Support of Employers’ Organizations for the Recovery and Growth of Ukraine”.

The main objectives of the project:

- Business recovery and development in Ukraine that will, as a result, foster economic development and increase employment in Ukraine, as well as contribute to the achievement of Ukraine’s goals regarding the European Green Deal.

- Support and development of labour potential, human capital in Ukraine. Development and implementation of professional development programs, training of adults, retraining, development of the necessary hard and soft skills. Establishment and launch of qualification centres, development of an automated candidate selection/assessment system and others. Development of training centres in the regions.

The project will make it possible to develop bilateral contacts between Ukrainian and Latvian businesses and industry organizations that represent them, to attract investments to Ukraine that will help business recovery and development in Ukraine, which as a result will foster economic development in Ukraine, increase employment of Ukrainian citizens and help achieve Ukraine’s goals regarding the European Green Deal, both during and after the war.

The project will make it possible to expand European competence and bring European qualifications framework into the Ukrainian education system. In addition, the results of the project will foster employment, reduce unemployment, help employee training at companies that have moved to new places, increase personnel competence at companies, including employees’ hard and soft skills, create a basis for systematic methodical support in organizing and conducting training and in personal assessment and recognition of professional qualifications.

During the project, 10 different activities are being implemented and two experts from the Federation of Employers of Ukraine (FEU) are working at the LDDK office.

The project received development cooperation financing from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia in 2022.
