Online International Conference for Employers on the WORK-LIFE BALANCE

The aim of the conference is to draw the attention of employers on how to ensure that the employees do not lose the balance between work and private life. Only a satisfied employee is loyal, co-responsible and works with full dedication.

During the conference, the different roles of individuals in society (employee, parent, carers, etc.), the fulfilment of the requirements of these roles and how each of the individual roles interacts with productivity will be discussed.

The conference will be attended by representatives of employers from such countries as Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Ireland, Slovenia, Finland and others, as well as international lecturers and representatives from the following organizations:

  • The International Organization of Employers (IOE) - brings together 150 national employers' organizations and represents the largest private sector interest group in the world.
  • UNESCO Future Literacy Unit - focuses on people's skills to better understand their role in the future and to better adapt to their full potential and prepare for change.
  • Eurfound - an EU agency that provides knowledge and helps to develop social, employment and work-related policies.
  • International Center for Work and Family - emphasizes corporate family responsibility in business, promoting corporate governance, culture, balance and flexibility, thus facilitating the integration of employees' work, family and personal lives.

Conference participants will have the opportunity to learn from international examples of good practice in promoting work-life balance, which later can be introduced in their own companies. The conference will be held in Latvian and English, simultaneous interpretation will be available for participants.
