Andris Bite Elected as President of LDDK, Joined by 14 Council Members
Andris Bite, Member of the Board of SIA “Karavela”, has been elected as President of the Employers’ Confederation of Latvia (LDDK) for the next three years.
He will be joined on the LDDK Council by 14 Council members – a decision taken at today’s LDDK General Assembly, attended by 118 employer representatives.
"I am determined, together with the newly elected LDDK Council, to continue working on improving the business environment in Latvia. I would like to thank all LDDK members for their active involvement both in everyday work and in today’s meeting. I also congratulate both the current and newly elected Council members for the trust shown by the members and wish us all a successful three years ahead, both in business and in the social dialogue process,"
said LDDK President Andris Bite after his election.
Alongside Andris Bite, the following have been elected to the LDDK Council for the next three years:
- Uldis Ameriks, Chairman of the Board, SIA “Laflora”
- Normunds Bergs, Chairman of the Board, AS “SAF Tehnika”
- Juris Binde, President, SIA “Latvijas Mobilais telefons”
- Uldis Biķis, Chairman of the Council, AS “Latvijas finieris”
- Jānis Buks, Chairman of the Council, AS “Olpha”
- Uldis Cērps, Chairman of the Board, Finance Latvia Association
- Mārtiņš Čakste, Chairman of the Board, AS “Latvenergo”
- Guntars Kokorevičs, Chairman of the Council, AS “CleanR Grupa”
- Ināra Pētersone, Executive Director, Health Care Employers’ Association
- Edgars Pīgoznis, Member of the Board, Latvian Private and Venture Capital Association
- Roberts Strīpnieks, Chairman of the Board, LPKS LATRAPS
- Uldis Tatarčuks, Chairman of the Board, SIA “Tet”
- Ansis Zeltiņš, CEO, Freeport of Riga Authority
- Artūrs Zeps, Vice-Rector for Development and Finance, Riga Technical University
A total of 118 members participated in the LDDK General Assembly, representing 75% of the total membership, indicating high member activity and appreciation of the work carried out so far.
A pre-assembly member survey also showed that LDDK members value the organization’s work highly and that member satisfaction continues to grow.
